At the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Health Science and Technology a PhD stipend is available within the general research programme “Biomedical Science and Engineering”. The stipends are open for appointment from 1 April 2019 or soon herafter.
Ny bevilling til fortsættelse af Future Patient
Vi har netop fået en bevilling på 5 mio kroner til fortsættelse af Future Patient – telerehabilitering af hjertesvigtspatienter. Vi skal dels arbejde på at forberede en implementering af projektet dels tilpasse Hjerteportalen.dk til rehabilitering af atrieflimren-patienter.
Vi glæder os til de næste trin i processen, og vil gerne takke Aage og Johanne Louis Hansens Fond for støtten.

Investigating feasibility of using a telerehabilitation program for patients after knee surgery
Now we are conducting the last step of the project by recruiting patient at the Hospital prior to the knee operation. The patients are receiving the telerehabilitation equipment and are being monitored by project health professionals. Each patient is following 8-week post-operative telerehabilitation program using the given equipment and the health professional are monitoring and communicating with patient remotely.
We have recruited the first patient last week and looking forward to recruiting the remaining 15 patients for this study.
Studerende skriver speciale hos Google i Californien
Camilla Melholt, som er MEDIS studerende, skriver speciale i samarbejde med Google i Silicon Valley i Californien.
Den 10-11. april var Birthe Dinesen og Camilla hos Google. Birthe holdt Tech Talk og Camilla stod for en intern workshop med medarbejdere hos Google.
Herudover besøgte Birthe og Camilla UC Berkeley og UD Davis Hospital i Sacramento for at afholde interviews og planlægge PhD kursus inden for TTRN.
White Paper om Telehealth Innovation
Transatlantic Telehealth Research Network (TTRN) har netop publiceret et White Paper om “Telehealth Innovation: Current Directions and Future Opportunities” for samarbejde mellem forskere, sundhedsprofessionelle og industrien. Forskere ved Laboratoriet for Velfærdsteknologi ved AAU har haft en væsentlig rolle ved udarbejdelse af dokumentet.
TTRN er blevet medlem af ISfTeH
The Transatlantic Telehealth Research Network (TTRN) er blevet medlem af International Society of Telemedicine and eHealth for at styrke det internationale netværk.
Hvordan kan dyrlægen arbejde med telerehabilitering i smådyrs- og hesteklinikken?
Fredag den 6. oktober holdt Den Danske Dyrlægeforening generalforsamling på Vingstedcentret ved Vejle. Birthe Dinesen havde fornøjelsen af at give indlæg om telesundhed og telerehabilitering i sundhedsvæsenet som inspiration for dyrlægerne. Gennemgang af den videnskabelige litteratur inden for veterinærområdet viser, at brug af telemedicin stadigvæk er i sin vorden i Danmark og internationalt dog er der begyndt at blive udviklet aktivitets trackere til heste og hunde og videoløsninger er i brug. Det bliver spændende at følge området i årene fremover.
