Digital Healthcare and Data Science: Moving Toward Innovative Healthcare Solutions

Venue: Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA

Aims

  1. To provide a comprehensive introduction to “big data” research methods used in digital healthcare technologies aimed at providing “service” and “engagement” value to end users
  2. To present innovative ways that digital solutions and technologies can incorporate big data and artificial intelligence to move heath care structures, systems and processes forward. During the course, students will examine possibilities by describing and discussing the methods they plan to use in their PhD dissertation project
  3. To increase the sphere of international influence of PhD students by networking with other PhD students and early, mid and late career academic and clinical scientists and clinicians.

  • To identify potential opportunities for exchange of knowledge and research collaboration in the field of digital health
  • To provide younger researchers within digital health the opportunity to present their work to a broad range of international scholars and colleagues

Great international interest in TTRN PhD course

The Transatlantic Telehealth Research Network (TTRN) has an online PhD Summer School in ” Future Digital Technologies in Healthcare: How to design, test and assess the value of digital technologies and services that engage, empower and motivate patients” from August 10-12.

We are proud that 35 international PhD students from Japan, UK, USA, Norway, Germany, Spain, Tunesia, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania and Denmark have signed up for the course. Birthe Dinesen (AAU), Kristian Kidholm (CIMT, OUH) and Cynthia Matsumoto (USA) is hosting the course. We look forward to some exciting days.

You are invited to Ph.D. Defense by Mohammad Reza Naeemabadi, who will defend his thesis entitled: “Telerehabilitation program for the patients after Total Knee Replacement” Thursday 14 January 2021 at 13.00.

Please note that the Ph.D. Defense is online via ZOOM. If you wish to attend, please send an email to Laura Kirstine Krøgh, no later than Thursday 11 January 2021 at 12.00. You will then receive a link a few days before the defense.
